My Project
In my newly created Health and Wellness class, I hope to plan a microgreen unit for students. We will explore how to grow microgreens, why to grow them, and analyze their nutrient profile and how it can positively impact the body. We live in Vermont, with long, cold winters, and indoor gardening is a great way to provide sustainable and nutritious food year round.
I have been growing mircrogreens for two years as a side hobby and now would like to share this passion with students.
I envision us talking about the the growth cycle, spending a large amount of time analyzing the nutritional impact, and then making microgreen salads and pestos from our harvest.
