My Project

We are in the process of creating a safe, comforting space for students who need a separate area to decompress so they can return safely to the classroom ready to learn. Weighted stuffies and a sensory pod will give them the comfort and security to allow them to reduce their anxiety and calm down so that they will not disrupt the education of other students.

At times it can be a challenge for some of our students to remain in the regular classroom setting.

They need a place and space to collect their thoughts and return to an emotional point where they can deal with the stresses and challenges of being part of a group. We are currently in the process of creating a welcoming, peaceful space for them.
