My Project
Create a Stunning Zentangle Animal Project with Sharpies!
Students will design their own unique Zentangle-inspired animal artwork using Sharpies (Fine Point and Ultra-Fine Point), mastering grid scaling and proportion in the process.
This project has been successfully taught across multiple grade levels, consistently producing impressive, high-quality results.
Beyond fostering creativity, this lesson enhances critical observational skills and provides a practical, engaging introduction to using grids and scaling—an essential math skill. Students gain confidence and skills in Art and Mathematics.
The reason why I am asking for this funding is because over 50% of my students are on free and reduced lunch. It is not feasible to ask my students to pay classroom fees for Art supplies.
