My Project
Please help develop our Zen Zone in the back corner of our classroom. This space will be designated for students who need a brain break but don't want to leave the room. They can use this space to take a three minute "brain break" which can help them develop coping skills when stress levels rise.
The help of your donation will equip our Zen Zone space with water, treats, markers, fidget toys, costumes (leis, sunglasses), flexible, comfortable seating and yoga books/breathing books.
This project will also provide visually calming features like an oil diffuser, volcano lamp, pineapple decor, and a fake fish aquarium so the space will feel more vibrant and inviting. It's important to note that all of these items were brainstormed by STUDENTS, not by me (teacher).
Students are fired up about this space and excited to make it their own! Cultivating a Zen Zone will foster a sense of belonging in the classroom and a sense of autonomy over student learning. With your kind donation, we are very excited to make this Zen Zone a reality.
