Help me give my students a zen place to complete their assignments. Many students prefer alternative seating and comfort when reading through text books and finding information. Cork tiles will allow me to display the work when complete.
I have been working on creating a mental health space in my classroom where students who may be overwhelmed sitting at a desk and staring at a board can sit and work quietly on their assignments. I currently have: a wonderful rug, fake plants, and a singular pillow with some light reading in the area.
My students need: clip boards to write on; pencils that are comfortable and useable; a comfortable place to sit; and a place for me to show how excellent their work is.
Using floor pillows, clip boards, and mechanical pencils, I believe that I can help them reach a comfort level in the classroom that will give me excellent quality work I can then display on wonderful cork board, so I no linger have to tape student assignments to the wall.
