Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are creating a Zen Garden for students to relax and feel positive vibrations.
The students will also learn gardening, landscaping and preservation.
This will teach them to beautify their surroundings to create an a safe
atmosphere for them to escape to when they get anxious.
Besides the students, staff and our entire community can utilize the space when we have professional development or campus gatherings for all the stakeholders.
We requested raised garden beds in the previous request. The soil is the next most expensive items to purchase. This will help tremdously.
