Zen Den

My Project

The Zen Den will provide our special education students a safe and calm environment that offers the opportunity to manage stress and anxiety, work through emotions, explore senses, and improve focus. Social-emotional development is important for sensory regulation and processing but also has therapeutic and educational benefits. Having a room dedicated solely to developing these essential skills, will help ensure success for all of our students.

In the Zen Den students will engage and explore their sensory elements to help lower stress and anxiety, improve focus and attention, and enhance their overall well-being.

The Zen Den will be equipped with soft seating, light covers, weighted stuffed animals, textured wall coverings, soft music and lights, and other sensory tools and activities.
