FULLY FUNDED! Ms. R.'s classroom raised $152
This project is fully funded
Preschoolers love to dig in the mud. Lucky for us -- it's also a great learning experience!
I teach 20 preschoolers (full day) in a school outside New Orleans whose building was destroyed in tornadoes following Katrina. We are rebuilding our program now with great success.
Do you remember the fun of digging up earthworms? Was a caring and knowledgeable adult there to ask questions, explain things, and generally share the wonder?
You could be part of this experience with my children. A Worm-A-Way kit is a large bin with lots of worms and activities to do with them. We will learn about where waste goes, how and why to compost organic garbage. We will see how worms and other organisms turn garbage into fertile soil. Finally we will grow plants right in the soil with the worms!
This will start my preschoolers off with a lifetime love of gardening and growing things.
