The majority of my students struggle with executive functioning skills. I am asking for a mailbox organization system to help facilitate my students' organizational skills while fostering independence. Post Covid, I am finding that my second grade students are having a more difficult time managing their belongings and their assignments. I wanted to help build their executive functioning skills that include a system that is easily accessible and works for all my multi language learners. Students can ensure that they manage their own assignments and know exactly where to find their lost/important papers.
A well-organized system can not only help with executive functioning skills, but also help facilitate organizational skills that will support students' learning by helping save time in everyday tasks and minimize distractions all while building a sense of community.
This mailbox system includes slots and colored trays to help organize individual students' papers. The trays are transferable so students can take them to their desks in needed. Please help me build the individual confidence that my students need to manage their work. This skills will directly help my students as they advance grades.
Student mailboxes will also allow the students to show kindness to each other by sharing positive notes to each other. This facilitates a positive learning environment where many of my students need a place where they feel supported and connected.
