My students and I are ready for our classroom to get organized, so we can optimize learning.
This year I am team teaching and have a wonderful group of First Graders.
We live in a rural and low socioeconomic area of Oklahoma. My students are eager to learn. However, I am having a hard time keeping all of our mail and homework in an organized manner.
My Project
A new mailbox center will provide each of my homeroom students a place to put all their schoolwork, artwork and notebooks. Having an organized mailbox, which contains enough slots for my homeroom students, will encourage my students to be organized, responsible, and independent.
Providing my students their own mailbox, which they will be responsible for, will help boost my students self-esteem and instill a sense of self-pride.
With their own mailboxes, they will have a place to keep all their awesome work.
