My Students

My students need classroom mailboxes and construction paper storage centers to help them start the year out strong!

Attending a high poverty Title I school, our students do not receive the much needed materials that are essential and necessary to every successful classroom.

Great classrooms should feel inviting, warm, and safe. Time, love, and money goes into getting a classroom set up and running. I would love to be ready to begin a new year by being organized and having a beautiful classroom for my students.

My Project

My current mailbox center is broken and unusable. I managed to make my old mailbox center usable for the past two years with lots of work and duct tape. However, it appears that it's time to retire it. I would love for my students to have new mailboxes! If I had these, my students would have a place to store their work, until it's time to take it home to show their parents what they learned. These mailboxes will also be used for my weekly newsletters, notes to parents, and any correspondence that needs to be sent home from our school regarding field trips, assemblies, etc. I'm also requesting construction paper storage centers so that I can better organize the abundant amount of construction paper that we use on a regular basis to aid in learning.

I'm very excited to start a new school year.

Having these classroom mailboxes and construction paper storage will aid us in better organization of our papers. The mailboxes will give each child his or her own personal mail station, which will help our classroom run smoothly. Please help me combat the chaos, and give my students a jump start on the new year!
