This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"When you enter this door you are a scientist, a reader, important, a friend, a mathematician, a creator - you are loved!" These words, which are painted across the front entrance of our school, welcome our hard-working, diverse group of students to school every day.

Our school is filled with student leaders who are making positive choices; we want to celebrate these students.

Each student brings with them a unique set of strengths and needs. Our teachers and school community work hard to give each child the tools they need to be successful.

My Project

Many of our students play soccer, since soccer is strong in their cultures. Many of our students at our school have never been exposed to the sport of baseball and these gloves are going to do that. We will be able to teach our students how to properly place the glove on their hands, wear the glove and catch with it. These gloves are made well so they will protect the hands of the students. All of our sport lessons are very educational. We are in the adult building business so all of these supplies will benefit the students for lifelong fitness.
