My Students

I'm a second year teacher at Shirley Hills Elementary. I've taught 2nd grade for two years and will be teaching kindergarten next year. Shirley Hills Elementary has been around for 51 years! It is a Title I school where every child receives free daily breakfast and lunch. I am raising money for a classroom carpet and book bins. I am feeling a little overwhelmed and unprepared transitioning but I know it will be a great year! Your donations will help make the 2016-2017 school year amazing. The little ones will greatly appreciate having books on their grade level and their own personal space on the carpet. Please help us create this new kindergarten classroom at our school! Thank you so much in advance!

My Project

Students need their own personal space on the carpet and an organized way of keeping up with their books. I am raising money for a classroom carpet and book bins. A colorful carpet with divided squares will provide each child their own "bubble" and teach them to respect personal boundaries of their fellow classmates. The book bins will help to keep the books organized. Your donations will help my students learn to the best of their abilities. The required materials will aid them to be excellent listeners and readers. Help me make this crucial first year of their education one that they will remember.
