This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

" You're never fully dressed without a smile. " - from Annie, the musical. Every morning I want my students to come in ready to learn and enjoy their day in my class. Their smiling faces are the best part of my day.

My students are 5 and 6 years old.

They enjoy learning, playing and exploring. My school is located in a high poverty neighborhood in NYC. Many of my students receive 2 meals a day at school. Many students come to school not ready for their day. For some students, coming to school clean and with their teeth brushed can be a challenge.

My Project

My students would be given the toothbrushes, toothpaste and toothbrush holders. My students will be taught how to and how often to brush their teeth. Students can practice good oral hygiene on a daily basis. My students will learn how and why they should brush their teeth on a regular basis. This is an important life skill that my students can learn that they will use for the rest of their lives.

These toothbrushes, toothpaste and toothbrush holders will help my students learn about good oral hygiene.

They will be able to learn an important life skill that they can use every day. Students will not only learn about the importance of good oral hygiene, but will gain self confidence with a beautiful smile.
