Young Students With Autism Need a Safe, Engaging Environment
Help me give my students a safe environment with the Children's Factory panels and the sensory compression vests. Please help me meet the needs of my students with hands-on materials like the magnetic foam letters and games.
I currently co-teach in Kindergarten half of the day; I work with students with special needs who are integrated into a regular education classroom. I am always looking for highly engaging materials and activities to best meet their needs. They need hands-on materials to learn best.
The other half of my day I teach students ages 3-5 with disabilities.
Currently I have 5 students; 3 have been diagnosed with autism. I need to create a safe environment for them - to keep them from running out of the room and from going into unsafe places. These students have significant, individual needs which need to be met. The pressure vests will help them regulate their bodies. The walkie talkies will encourage them to use words.
