My students need Root-Vue Farms and other science kits for their science cluster.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nurse's classroom raised $307

My Students
I teach science in a Title I school in Brooklyn. My students need more materials for hands-on projects. In order to become young scientists, my students need materials that engage them in real-life inquiries.
I teach early childhood science in a school in which 57% of the students receive free or reduced price meals.
I work with 230 pre-k, kindergarten and first grade students. They are full of questions, love to experiment, observe, and learn more about the world through science.
My Project
Because I strongly believe that the best way for students to learn is to observe, experiment, and pose questions, I want to get materials such as root viewers, earth worm kits, and a carnivorous plants kit to work in my classroom with my young scientists.
Having materials for hands-on experiments is important in order to teach children how to observe, interpret and analyze data, make decisions, infer by drawing conclusions based on their experiences, and predict what might happen with their experiments.
These are essential skills that I want my students to develop in my class.
By donating these materials to my classroom, you are helping me foster my students' love for inquiry and science.
