This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love teaching art! I have taught painting, illustration and abstract art so far this year. My next plan is to teach a printmaking unit that will eventually become a course.

A baby printing press will richly enhance the printmaking process for my students, because it the perfect size for beginners, and will help them feel like the artists they are becoming.

This press has been chosen with my students in mind; they like to feel like they are not doing kiddie work. They like to use good materials. Don't be fooled by the name of the press, just because it has "Baby" in the name. Blick is a company that makes high-quality presses. I know that my students will enjoy using this press to print their artwork. As some of them go on to study art in college, they will be familiar with using a press and have no problem using fully-sized ones!
