My Project

This Donors Choose project was written to request the following items to expand my PE curriculum: adjustable height nets, broomsticks, and size 3 footballs.

I love seeing my students' enthusiasm and how they light up when they learn a new skill or work together to achieve a goal in physical education.

Their energy is infectious, and it's incredibly rewarding to watch them grow in confidence and ability throughout the year.

For my younger students, lowering the net makes learning skills like volleying and striking so much more accessible and less frustrating. For older students, I can gradually increase the height, providing a natural progression that challenges them without overwhelming them.

The size 3 footballs will be a game-changer for teaching invasion games like flag football. The smaller size is much easier for elementary-aged hands to grip, throw, and catch, reducing frustration and increasing successful throws and receptions.

Broomball sticks will introduce them to a fantastic variation of an invasion game that they might not otherwise experience. These sticks are designed for use on a gym floor, making it a safe and accessible way to introduce concepts similar to hockey.
