This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is full of bright and funny students. They are a joy to teach and really love investigating math! They are young Mathematicians!
They are students who mostly come from low-income families.
They live in the lower east side of Manhattan. Our school is one who aims at sending every graduate to college! Our school serves 6th-12th grade. This project is for 6th & 7th grade students.
My Project
My students will be able to have discussions about math problems using the clipboards once we get them. They will have markers to use mini erase boards for instant feedback on their answers in a fun way. We will do full projects based on volume including one where you create an unusual container that holds a specific amount of rice crispies. Your donation will help them have these supplies to help them learn how to be better mathematicians!
Your donation will help improve my classrooms (both of them!) by helping them have the tools that will enhance the activities we do to learn math and have proper practice of what we learn.
It will help them remember math concepts better and in a more appealing way to my students.
