Help me give my students paint that will help them create work for portfolios they can use to enter college. Some of my study human anatomy, they will love having a plastic skeleton to draw from.

My Students
I am privileged to teach 41 gifted visual art students through the talented in visual arts program. These are students from 3 different schools who have passed rigorous tests identifying them as uniquely talented students. They will use the beautiful artwork created with these materials to apply for art colleges. The materials will also be used to teach art lessons that expand their knowledge of art from other cultures. Since I teach multiple grade levels, I have had the pleasure of watching my students develop into great young artists. Three of them are English language learners who were born in Honduras, Vietnam and Puerto Rico. They are bright, vibrant children who love to create art.
The majority of my students wish to pursue a career in the arts.
I have been discussing art college choices with my older students, and am helping them build their portfolios. Most of them are economically disadvantaged, so it is important that they make use of every opportunity available to them to excel .
My Project
The paint, pencils, and supplies I am asking for will be invaluable in helping 41 talented young artists reach their future goals. Out of the approximately 2,175 students attending the three schools where I teach, forty-one have been identified as gifted in visual arts.
These young people want to attend college for art, graphic design, fashion and illustration.
My older students need art supplies to develop artwork for their college portfolios. As well as working on their portfolios, my students will be learning about the artwork of different cultures, the history and geography of each region, as well as exploring their individual areas of interest. A group of my seventh graders are interested in realistic figure drawing, and study anatomy (even outside of class). They will love using clay to create 3- D self portraits and be very excited to have a plastic skeleton to draw from.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
