This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom is made up of 18 Pre-K young learners who are curious, fun, and eager to explore. This year we started a new curriculum and one of our units is all about trees. We will be learning about different kinds of trees, where trees grow, and how trees help us. Our young learners will find out about the tree's life cycle, different parts of trees, and how people use trees.

Our young learners will be able to explore and learn so much about trees with specific materials about trees and leaves.

Our students can explore different leaves in the art center with the leaf stencils and leaf rubbings. They can practice counting with the apple tree math set when they visit the math center. Our young learners can learn to match lower and upper case letters with the alphabet letter match game. Our students can use the branch blocks to practice stacking and sorting in the block center.
