This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Could you imagine being a middle school student getting paid for your art? As a third-year art program, one of the larger obstacles we face is having enough supplies for all our students. Despite this, my students have utilized art to think critically, creatively, and compassionately about their community and the world around them. Some have even had the opportunity to sell their art on national and local stages.
With your help and the requested supplies, my students will be able to both scale their art as well as diversify their artistic experience.
The printer ink and printer paper will be used to create high resolution art prints of student artwork to sell at events and shows. These opportunities were developed through local sponsorships and partnerships in our first and second year.
