Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Pablo Picasso said, "Every child is an artist." Art helps children grow and develop through creative thinking and feeling. An easel would enhance my students' artistic experiences. The four-sided easel would give each student a space to create their masterpieces.

I teach 18 lively kindergarten students at an all kindergarten school.

Our whole day is centered around five year old hearts and minds. Our school is a Title I funded school. Most of the students in my classroom receive free or reduced lunch. It is important to me that my classroom be a warm and inviting community, full of opportunities. I work hard to give each of my students every possible opportunity they need in order for them to be successful not only in school but in life as well. By having an art easel in the classroom, my students would be able to experience the world of art as an actual artist!

My Project

The classroom isn't always just about learning skills but having experiences and growing as an individual. This art easel will give my students multiple artistic experiences and give them a way to express themselves creatively. My students will feel like true artists and take pride in their work! By using an artist easel to create art projects, my students will also be able to develop those much needed fine motor skills.

Your donation to this project will ensure that my students have more of the experiences they need.

It will give them an opportunity to become a real artist, with a real easel! It will also give them an area to express their creative side with paintbrush in hand, while developing fine motor skills. Thank you for taking time to consider my project.
