Young Artists Would Love to Paint!

My project needs 28 sets of tempera cake paints, 28 sets of watercolor paints, one drying rack and one set of tempera mixing mediums.

We are starting up a brand new art program at P.S. 10, a neighborhood school in Brooklyn. I am a new art teacher at the school, and I am working with all children in grades Kindergarten through 4th. When I ask my students what they would like to do in art this year, their immediate response is "Paint!". The catch is, we do not have paints in our art studio yet. Our children are enthusiastic about art. Through painting, children can enhance their story telling abilities, develop a visual language and improve their motor skills, all while having fun! We have a large population of english language learners, and painting will provide them with a common language with their peers. Our physically challenged students also stand to gain from painting, as it can improve their dexterity and give them another means for expression. You can realize the dream of our talented artists by helping us to purchase painting supplies.
