This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to have fun in art class? For most children, it is the best time of the school day. My students would love to create art projects, but rarely have a chance to participate in art class.

My students are great kids that love to learn and have fun.

They are from low income families and do not have the resources to purchase art supplies on their own. The children are new to America and just learning the English language. These experiences will help the children learn English while building community.

My Project

I have requested colored pencils, a sharpener, dot paints and roll-on paints, 15 frames and 15 tote bags so my students can create great art projects. They need art caddies and a storage center to house all of the art projects. The smiles on my students' faces will be priceless as they work with their new art supplies and create beautiful projects. Please help the children communicate with each other through their love of art. The art materials will help make the children smile and have fun.
