My Project
We would like to refurbish our current sensory room for our special education high school students. This room provides a safe multi-sensory room that allows access for all our students. This calm space can help students who may be dysregulated or feeling anxious return to a more calm mental state. The sensory room is a powerful tool for helping student calm down and therefore are less likely to engage in more out of control behavior. This multi sensory room helps soothes the five senses and more likely to be able to return to the classroom learning environment. The sensory room is a vital resource for our special needs students.
