My Project

Third grade students have a desire to learn. My job is to be able to teach them to the best of my ability. That is where you come in! This project allows me to dim the overhead lights, organize for student benefit, and reward students.

I want to provide my students with the things that they feel they need to learn the best!

The lights in our classroom are very bright, the majority of the time my students ask me to turn the lights down or off. I do not have the ability to dim my lights aside from turning one side or the other off. Light covers provide a way to make the lights dimmer while also allowing both sides of the room to see. While I am in the front teaching, we can use this option. The lamps will be used while students are working. This allows them the light they need while also being less harsh for their eyes.

My students have also been sharing crayons because the cardboard boxes have all broken. The boxes will allow them to have their own and not have to hand crayons back and forth, which also fights the germs.

My students earn class dojo points from various things in and out of my classroom. Examples are compliments from other teachers, turning in work on time, and how they behave in their related arts classes. I want to give them various items as rewards. As of right now my students are earning suckers, class coupons, and stickers, but I would love for them to earn things they have a higher desire for. Their desire to learn should be rewarded!
