Help me give my students a chance to see my handwriting during this time of isolation and beyond. Nothing works better as a second screen, document camera, chart creator, or feedback giver than an iPad pro!
My students are complete rockstars! I know every teacher probably says that, but mine really are! They are absolutely killing it through remote learning. Logging on each day, multiple times a day to meet with each other, myself, and my co-teacher. We're figuring out small groups, turn and talks, group projects, and more! They're flexible, hard working, and willing to try whatever we ask them to.
My Project
As crazy as distance learning is, we are making it work and giving our students access to a fairly normal 4th grade curriculum. We're finding replacements and ways to replicate our reading, writing, and math lessons. We're even finding ways to build classroom community and create fun and everlasting memories as a class.
One thing that we normally do that has been really challenging is marking things up with our OWN HANDWRITING.
Yes, we've tried writing on PDFs and using virtual whiteboards, and they're amazingly helpful. But, it's just not the same. We can't write fast enough or neat enough using a mouse to make it productive. With an iPad pro and a Apple pencil, we can take our remote learning to the next level.
