This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students for their energy, resilience, and passion for learning—on and off the court. They show up with heart, ready to grow, support one another, and give their best. Volleyball and basketball are more than sports at our school; they teach teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Unfortunately, the Eaton fires took everything I had, including all our sports equipment. Much of what we had was already outdated, and now we are starting from nothing. Your contribution can directly impact our students by helping them play, learn, and rebuild with confidence. This tragedy has left my student-athletes without the basic tools they need to participate in the sports they love. Our middle school’s athletic program plays a vital role in promoting physical health, confidence, teamwork, and positive development in our students. Sports like volleyball and basketball give my students a sense of purpose, structure, and joy during the school year.
