Our school corporation is a rural district, trying to equip our students with the skills and experiences to be successful in our ever-changing world. I have the privilege to teach first grade in our small rural district.
My first grade students are excited about the world around them.
As their teacher, it is my goal to create opportunities to make them curious about the world around them. My goal is to empower them to ask questions and find answers. My students are world changers.
My Project
Our students would love to learn with Osmo! Osmo is a kit that works with compatible iPads. Students manipulate tiles which the Osmo kit reads and then gives immediate feedback. Students will code, add and subtract, and solve problems. The Osmo is crafted with reflective artificial intelligence, a ground breaking technology that bridges the real and digital realms. The feedback is immediate! I am looking to use the Osmo kits as a part of our reading and math workshop. My amazing first graders love hands-on experiences and with the Osmo kit we would love to learn, explore and create our learning experiences.
