Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students want to learn but some are quite active. They do not even realize that they are up and fidgeting in their seat. I try to do brain breaks when I can, but some students need more!
I work in a Title One school with about 98% of the students on free or reduced lunch.
Most of my students are learning English as a second language. They are sweet and eager to learn but do not have basic background knowledge. They get restless and need to move throughout the day.
My Project
I am requesting 1 Hokki stool to keep them focused on learning. Several of my students are definitely kinesthetic learners and need to move as they work. The Hokki stool will allow them to move and focus while they are learning. "Traditional" chairs are too confining and restrictive, and I believe these stools may be the key to unlock the creative juices for these students.

I have seen results from the other stools I was was lucky enough to get through Donor's Choose and we need more.
