My Project
My students range from kindergarten through eighth grade. I find that once they reach upper elementary to middle school age, they begin developing interests that may shape their pursuits in high school and possibly on into adult life.
Learning keyboard skills will help prepare students who want to pursue high school band and/or any other musicianship opportunities in the future.
These Portable Keyboards are an excellent tool for learning scales, modes, chords, harmonies, etc. that can help them become more proficient improvisers and creators of musical ideas. It is also an ideal instrument for learning how to read sheet music and understand the relationship between sheet music and music theory concepts.
