My Students
I teach in an urban area. All my students receive free lunch. They often lack the basic needs that we take for granted. They come to school hungry and unprepared to learn. Their parents cannot provide them with the basic tools they need to succeed in school. Many of my students, who are only eight years old, have already attended two or three schools.
My students come to school curious, wanting to learn and explore in a place that is safe and caring.
I do this by creating an environment that fosters their natural love for learning, a place where they can feel secure and cared about.
My Project
One of the most difficult things during this time of distance learning has been communication and rewarding my students. There is only so much you can do through Goggle Meet! These stamps will give me a way to send rewards to my students! I send them award certificates, stickers, balloons, candy treats, and just letters of encouragement!
Making connections with our students is essential to the learning process and encourages student engagement and learning.
It is my hope that by having these stamps and envelopes I will be able to quickly and easily make even more connections with my students and keep them engaged in the learning process!
