Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are scientists, technologists, athletes, engineers, and mathematicians (among many other things!). They are super curious and want to make a change in the world.
As part of this, they need to have ample exposure to the skills and materials that students in affluent neighborhoods have.
My students, for the most part, come from a neighborhood in a large city in Arizona. They aim to be scientists, technologists, and problem-solvers, tackling real-world issues. With your help, they will achieve these ambitious goals!
My Project
We have some excellent blended learning programs that help our students fill in content gaps and enrich their learning. We've seen statistically significant growth in students who use these programs purposefully, which is truly exciting! That said, we have run into a bit of a snag: we are out of functioning headphones!
The programs we use provide targeted content to students, based on their current academic need - but without headphones, students can't access that content.
That's where you come in! No student should miss out on learning simply because they don't have functioning headphones! Your support will allow 100% of our students to learn, even if they can't afford their own personal headphones.
