This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When given choices of where to sit, my students are much more engaged in their learning. It’s wonderful to be able to give them options. Some students like standing; others need to bounce a little; many like to lie down. Since I’ve implemented flexible seating in my classroom, I have seen a tremendous improvement in independent work as well as behavior.
I would love to give my students a few new comfortable spaces to sit, learn, and work.
We do independent, differentiated centers. These new seating options would give my students more spaces to spread out and work. They would also give us a new space to gather as a class.
My students love flexible seating! It’s so intriguing to watch them find what seat works best for them.
