My Project

Our eighth grade students have grown so much, both academically and personally, over the past few years. Many of them balance school with responsibilities at home, and despite the challenges they face, they continue to show up with determination and heart. As they prepare to leave middle school, we want to honor their journey and send them off with something meaningful.

The book You Are Only Just Beginning by Morgan Harper Nichols is a message of encouragement, reflection, and hope.

It’s beautifully illustrated and filled with words that speak to the uncertainty and excitement of new beginnings. Each student will have their classmates sign the inside of their book with personal messages, turning it into a keepsake full of encouragement and shared memories they can look back on for years to come.

The goal of this project is to give each student a graduation gift that speaks to who they are and where they’re headed. We want them to feel seen, supported, and celebrated as they move on to high school—confident that this is only the beginning of everything they can achieve.
