My Project

The Yoto books offers a unique way to engage children with literature by providing access to a vast collection of high-quality audio content, including classic stories, educational podcasts, and interactive adventures.

By combining storytelling with innovative technology, we intend to amplify the benefits of read alouds and audio learning experiences.

I have already purchased the Yoto device and will be using the funds to add books to the library that are both diverse and will pique the interest of emergent readers. We are also looking to fund our phonics program with the Leap Pad tools. They are aligned to the Science of Reading and students will love engaging with them.

Promote Literacy: We will encourage children, parents, and educators to embrace the practice of listening to read alouds as a means of developing vocabulary, comprehension, and language skills. Through the Yoto Player's diverse library, children will be exposed to a wide range of stories, genres, and voices, enhancing their literary horizons.

Stimulate Imagination: Listening to read alouds fosters imagination and creativity as children visualize the narratives in their minds. The Yoto Player's captivating audio content will transport children to different worlds, sparking their creativity and encouraging them to create mental images.

Support Multisensory Learning: The Yoto Player engages both auditory and cognitive senses, facilitating multisensory learning. This approach is particularly beneficial for children with diverse learning styles and abilities.

Family and Community Engagement: We will encourage parents and caregivers to actively participate in children's audio learning experiences, fostering meaningful bonding moments and discussions around the stories. Community events centered around the Yoto Player will also promote social interaction and shared learning.
