This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are working diligently to improve their social and emotional awareness. Our classroom is for students who are diagnosed with emotional and behavioral challenges. These learners need additional materials to help them increase their coping skills and self-management skills.
Yoga is a great tool for students.
We use yoga for brain breaks that help focus on our minds and bodies throughout the school day. We also use the techniques and lessons from yoga to guide our thoughts and actions throughout the school day as well. Yoga and mindfulness are imperative components to our learning and progress towards building positive and productive citizens!
