This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd-grade students are energetic, inquisitive and innovative learners.

They understand that exercising and enriching the body is just as important as exercising and enriching the mind.

In the classroom, they are active learners, using their hands and bodies individually and collaboratively to explore and discover new ideas and skills. They always think of innovative ideas and different ways to do things. Due to a lack of materials/equipment, my students sometimes are not able to put their fabulous ideas into action. With your help, my students will hopefully have the materials/equipment to exercise and enrich their growing bodies and minds. My students will be profoundly grateful to you for your generous donation that will surely transform their bodies and minds.

My Project

Since my students want to learn how to do yoga and I don't know how to do yoga, we are asking for DVDs to help us. They are also requesting a laptop to help us play the DVD's and CDs since we don't have access to this type of technology at the moment. They asked for other exercise DVDs to help us exercise and stay active when it is too hot to go outside or when it is raining outside. This will make a difference for my students because yoga increases concentration, lowers stress, improves body control and awareness, and reduces the risk of injury.
