My Project

This project will help us do a literature and history study about the old west. Students will first read about the dust bowl which brought many people to the old west in the Book Leah's Pony. We delve into the gold rush and boomtowns and then end with the book Yippee Yay American Cowboy and Cowgirl. I have read these books to students in the past, but I know holding these beautiful books in their hands will really open up their imagination and creativity. This project will also help encourage students to continue reading books about history and the old west.
