This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This kindergarten class is full of incredible students. For many, this is their first time ever in a structured classroom environment, and it is also their first exposure to the English language. They come from all over the world providing diversity, allowing us to celebrate our similarities and differences. My students are enthusiastic, curious, caring, and creative. These students are members of a Title I urban school in Richmond, CA, a school where all students qualify for the free breakfast and free lunch program.
My Project
We have so many amazing books that students love to read in our classroom. I would love for them to be able to take them home to read with their families, and switch them out!
In order to make this happen we need some book bags, that can help us protect our books as we take them from school to home and vice versa.
This book bags will help us read everywhere, and I cannot wait for our students to share there love of reading with their love ones.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
