Yeah! Even with all the budget cuts, we have managed to keep our yearbook elective.
Our school is a K-8 school in a small rural town in Northern California.
The Publications Class is an elective for our 6-8 grade students. We put together the school yearbook, as well as a monthly student publication. We have many talented students who work extremely hard on the projects in our class.
My Project
The camera will allow the students in the publications class to take pictures of school events. The yearbook photographers also walk around the school during recess and class parties, and take pictures of everyday school life. Our students also learn to edit the photos they take.
Without cameras in the hands of students, we would not be able to produce a yearbook.
Our "photographers on assignment" also encourage school spirit. Our students love to be photographed for the yearbook.
