This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Lunar New Year is a time of family, traditions, and celebration in many Asian cultures. I want to bring this festive atmosphere to our classroom with Lunar New Year decorations. We will use the tape to hang up all the decorations like lanterns, banners, along with other symbolic symbols in our room. We will also enjoy traditional snacks such as chocolate and drink tea to bring harmony and good luck to the new year.
They will learn about the values of family and good fortune while developing a deeper appreciation for diversity.
My students will learn and celebrate the Lunar New Year through its rich cultural traditions through arts and crafts and enjoying snacks to bring the holiday to life.
