Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Traditions and celebrations are very important in the lives of many families. Therefore, I am requesting ramen soups, teas, fortune cookies and chopsticks to celebrate the year of the dragon with my students. In this case, the students will learn about asian culture and how the new year is celebrated in February instead of January. This will attract the students interest in learning, but also it will be complemented by this delicious meal. My goal for the project will be to expand curiosity in the asian culture as well as to learn about the Chinese New Year. What really makes my students special is that most of them are fully engaged into learning and they really enjoy learning about cultural diversity.
