This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are mostly English Language Learners from low income families. They love to interact with each other and love to learn lessons through hands-on activities and games. My students have been learning how to play xylophones this semester and playing an instrument once a week at the school doesn't provide enough opportunity to master the skills. They need instruments to practice at home with. Please help me get the xylophones for students to take home and share the joy of making music with their family.
My Project
My students have been affected terribly by the pandemic. I would like to motivate my students by giving them an instrument they will learn to play to help them relax and better cope with all the hardships they endure.
We are learning how to play the xylophone this semester, but one day a week of music lessons is not enough time to really do the job.
I would like to give students a xylophone that they can own and practice at home with. Please help me help my students experience the joy of playing an instrument.
