Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of our students want the chance to play and enjoy video games together at least once in their lives. Right now, our classes can only allow one or two students to play at a time because of the limited equipment. With an Xbox and multiple controllers, we can give many students the opportunity to play comfortably together in the classroom.

This setup will help students build important skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and hand-eye coordination, while also boosting their self-esteem.

Multiplayer games allow them to practice independently, get comfortable with the controls, and then join group games where they can collaborate or compete in a fun and supportive way.

As they progress, students will be able to work in teams or individually, developing their social skills, sportsmanship, and focus. The Xbox system can also be used during special events, travel programs, or reward activities, where we can connect it to a larger screen or sound system, creating a shared experience for the whole group.

The Xbox set will play many roles in our program. Most importantly, it will give all students a chance to participate without being left out due to lack of access. With multiple controllers and headphones, they can manage the sound levels, block out distractions, and fully engage in the experience. This will enhance not only the classroom environment but also group dynamics during larger activities and events.
