Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my kiddos are from a low economic status so sometimes financial literacy is harder for them to grasp. My students reside in one of the biggest states in the U S of A, Texas, and they're ready to learn...no matter what! My schools kiddos all get free breakfast, and 90% of them are eligible for free lunch. Learning about financial literacy is a must for kiddos. When they get older I want our students to not have to worry about overspending or how to save money. So, we will learn financial literacy in school.

My Project

My kiddos are learning about financial literacy and it's importance. We have a school store and they earn "bucks" by getting high scores on their tests, helping people and just being an overall good student.

I want to get my kiddos money storage bags so they can keep track of their earned money.

I also want to take it a step farther and show and tell them about real money and it's values and follow up all of this money learning with a fun Monopoly game! In addition to their money goodies kiddos need new dry erase markers so they can be hands on and write away during our reading and math groups. They also need a cool animal and letter lacing set and word learning game to help reinforce the skills that they learn daily. The rolling cart will help keep all of my kiddos supplies near. The cart will allow me to have all of my kiddos supplies and some extras with me at all times.
