Our students work hard more than 10 hours a week outside of school time developing computer programs for their robotics competitions.
Please help us provide them with appropriate computer power for the tasks they need to complete for our robotics competition.
The mobile app team for our Robotics Program must run Android Studio as the Integrated Development Environment. Android Studio uses a lot of memory, causing code compilation to execute quite slowly on our existing 8 GB laptops. We need at least 16 GB of memory to run both Android Studio and the mobile app at normal speed while we are developing the mobile app. When the computers run too slowly, it frustrates and discourages the students.
Successful, efficient computers will give our students the satisfaction of completing their work and allow them to compete against suburban teams with much better funding.
