This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our preschool through eighth grade community is dedicated to providing a safe and positive learning environment in which students will be encouraged and supported to reach their full academic potential.

Our core focus is an emphasis on rigorous academics in every subject area including: reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies and science.

We believe our core mission is to ensure that every child is achieving at or above grade level in each subject area.

Our intervention programs are designed to quickly and effectively identify remediation and enrichment opportunities for each and every child through data-based decision-making. We believe that with meaningful instruction children love learning.

My Project

I teach two Writing electives for 5th-8th grade students along with a 5th grade Reading class. I have plenty of regular pencils and writing paper, but would like to have some colorful and multicultural pencils and markers.

In my Writing elective classes, students are creating their own comic books.

They would love to have a large variety of pens, pencils, and markers to use for their drawings. During the year, we will be writing stories, essays, letters, manga, fan fiction, etc... The supplies from this project would be helpful many of the writing activities we will be doing. Thank you!
