Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In our room, there are 9 incredible students who have been making leaps and bounds throughout this remote learning time. My students have been trying with all of their abilities to complete the best possible work that they can. I am so beyond proud of them and all of the perseverance they are showing me every day.
My students are using the technology they have, but need something to enhance their working abilities!
We recently started to use Classkick (which is awesome). It is an interactive site I use during live math lessons. I am able to see their work and thought process in real-time and it has really been a lifesaver! I just realized, myself included, that it is SO hard to write with your finger! I bought myself a stylus pen to use and am waiting for it in the mail. I would love to be able to send my children each their own pen to make writing easier.
My Project
Once my students receive these pens, I know that I will have a lot more engagement and there will be so much less stress on the kids! Right now, they erase one letter 29 times until it is perfect which is making it hard for them to write.
I would love to be able to send them to each of my kids at their houses with a written letter from me telling them how proud of them I am and how we're all in this together.
They will be entirely happy and feel at ease about contributing to their work.
